Markable launches free creator tier as social commerce grows

Fri, 24th Apr 2026 (Today)

Markable has introduced a free tier for its creator commerce platform, opening access to tools previously limited to paying users.

The Seattle-based company is also adding new artificial intelligence features, including an AI product collage tool for shoppable content. Its platform is used by more than 1,000 social media creators and helped drive more than USD $1 billion in affiliate sales last year.

The change comes as social commerce continues to expand in the US. Markable cited industry projections showing US social commerce sales will grow 18.0% in 2026 and surpass USD $100 billion for the first time.

Under the free tier, creators can use Smart Deep Links and AutoDM at no cost. Smart Deep Links direct followers into native shopping apps, while AutoDM can trigger up to 2,000 keyword-based replies to comments and send follow-up messages to users who commented within the previous seven days.

Markable is also launching AI Product Collage, which lets creators build shoppable product collages, and a Viral Products tool that highlights top-selling products by category.

The company is positioning the offer for a broad creator market that extends well beyond full-time influencers. It says more than 200 million people worldwide identify as creators, including 65% of Gen Z.

Until now, the platform was available only to what Markable described as a curated network of creators. By widening access, it aims to reach newer and smaller creators looking to turn social audiences into shopping traffic and affiliate income.

According to Markable, many creators on the platform are stay-at-home mothers, and some have built seven-figure affiliate businesses through the service. The company says its tools help creators grow organically while reducing time spent on routine tasks.

Joy Tang outlined the company's view of the broader creator market.

"Creators are some of the hardest-working entrepreneurs out there. They're posting daily, managing communities and negotiating brand deals," said Joy Tang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Markable.

"They need smarter workflows that save them hours every week and put real money in their pockets. We've shown that the right tools can transform a creator's business with the incredible community we've built at Markable. Adding a powerful free tier is our commitment to equalizing opportunities for creators," Tang said.

User response

Markable also shared feedback from a creator using the platform, highlighting the role of automated messaging in affiliate selling on social platforms.

"I would never have imagined in a million years that DM automation and all the features that Markable AI offers would truly change my business and make it more profitable than it was. One of my very good content creator friends told me about Markable AI, and I'm so glad I listened to her and signed up, because it truly changed my life. I think they're one of the best apps out there, and their boosting program is just life-changing," said Elnaz Hamai.

Markable describes itself as a creator platform and agency focused on social commerce and affiliate marketing. Its tools include deep links, automated direct messaging, AI collage tools and AI bio link tools designed to help creators convert posts, comments and recommendations into purchases.

The company expects to generate billions in annual sales by the end of 2026. For now, the immediate change is that a larger pool of creators can access the platform's core tools without paying upfront, as competition intensifies among platforms seeking a larger share of creator-led shopping.
