SEON has launched a Shopify-native fraud prevention app with Domaine, marking the first major release from the companies' strategic partnership.

Built to operate directly within Shopify, the app is aimed at merchants who want to manage fraud checks, decision rules, and chargeback processes without leaving the platform. Users can install it from the Shopify App Store and begin setting fraud rules within minutes, without developer support, according to SEON.

The software is intended for brands facing rising order volumes, international expansion, chargebacks, and return or refund fraud. SEON says its system analyses transaction data to help merchants identify risky behaviour while allowing more legitimate customers to complete purchases.

Domaine developed the app as a Shopify specialist with experience building storefronts for brands including Timex and Laura Mercier. The companies say that expertise shaped the app's architecture and how it connects with merchants' existing technology systems.

Retail focus

The launch comes as retailers expand online operations across markets and payment methods, increasing pressure on fraud controls. SEON cited findings from its 2026 Retail Fraud Guide, which showed that nearly 88% of retailers increased revenue by more than 10% over the past year.

Matt DeLauro, President, GTM, at SEON, linked the product to that growth.

"Our 2026 Retail Fraud Guide highlights that nearly 88% of retailers grew revenues by more than 10% last year. New storefronts, expanding markets and diverse payment methods are scaling fast, but so is fraud. High-growth merchants need tools that work the way they do, inside Shopify. That's what this app is built for. Domaine's market expertise is unmatched, and having them shape the build means merchants can get up and running quickly, stay in control of their decisions and stop fraud without hurting conversion rates," DeLauro said.

The companies are targeting merchants that have moved beyond basic fraud tools and want more control over how orders are reviewed and approved. The app allows eCommerce and fraud teams to customise rules and automate decisions within the Shopify workflow.

Shopify demand

Domaine said fraud is a frequent issue for fast-growing brands that rely on Shopify as they expand into new regions and sales channels. Its role in the project reflects the growing influence of service partners in shaping the software tools merchants use on the platform.

Max Rolon, CTO of Domaine, outlined the problem the app is designed to solve for Shopify users.

"We work closely with some of the fastest-growing brands on Shopify, and fraud comes up often as a pain point as they scale. SEON brings a level of sophistication and flexibility that aligns with how modern commerce teams operate. By building this natively within Shopify, we're making it significantly easier for merchants to access enterprise-grade fraud prevention without disrupting their existing stack," Rolon said.

SEON describes itself as a provider of fraud-prevention and anti-money-laundering software for thousands of companies worldwide. The company says it uses more than 900 real-time first-party data signals to build customer profiles, flag suspicious behaviour and support compliance work.

Domaine supports more than 100 brands on Shopify and operates across the US, Canada and Europe. The company focuses on Shopify design and development for global brands and is backed by BV Investment Partners alongside its executive team.

The new app is available globally through Shopify's app marketplace.
