OpenPayd has joined the Fireblocks Network for Payments, becoming the first provider live on the network in the UK and Europe.

Network participants can access OpenPayd's fiat infrastructure through the Fireblocks Console or API without a separate integration. The arrangement gives the network's 2,400 users access to OpenPayd's on- and off-ramp services in GBP, EUR and USD, with up to 60 currencies available on demand across more than 100 countries.

Fireblocks Network for Payments connects local payment rails, blockchains and stablecoin systems with foreign exchange, remittance, and on- and off-ramp services. The network has settled more than $14 trillion in transaction volume and includes exchanges, fintechs, banks, payment service providers, and liquidity partners.

For OpenPayd, the connection broadens its reach among institutional users as demand grows for systems that link fiat payments and digital assets. The company processes more than $280 billion in annual transactions and has recently added partnerships with LMAX Group and Archax.

Institutional demand

The agreement reflects a wider push by financial infrastructure providers to meet demand from institutions seeking access to stablecoin payment flows alongside conventional currency rails. Businesses using the Fireblocks network can use OpenPayd for treasury operations, payments, and reconciliation within a single workflow.

The service is aimed at companies already operating within the Fireblocks ecosystem that want direct access to fiat infrastructure. OpenPayd's network includes embedded accounts, foreign exchange, domestic and international payments, Open Banking, and stablecoin on- and off-ramps.

Michael Treacy, Director of Business Development and Marketing at OpenPayd, said: "This integration marks another significant step on our growth journey. Demand for reliable infrastructure solutions is growing as global institutional adoption of digital assets continues to accelerate. By joining the Fireblocks Network, we are widening access to OpenPayd's universal financial infrastructure, helping more companies overcome the complexity and fragmentation of the global payments system and powering the growth of the digital economy."

Stablecoin flows

Fireblocks presented the addition of OpenPayd as a response to demand in cross-border payment corridors linked to stablecoins, particularly those involving the UK and Europe. By adding access to sterling and euro on- and off-ramps, as well as US dollars, the network expands the fiat options available to institutions handling digital asset flows.

Its controls include Travel Rule compliance and wallet verification, alongside the payment and settlement connections already available through the network.

OpenPayd, founded in 2018 by Dr Ozan Ozerk, serves more than 1,200 businesses. Its clients include eToro, Kraken, OKX, and B2C2, reflecting demand from trading platforms and digital asset firms for links between traditional banking systems and crypto-related settlement infrastructure.

Richard Astle, VP of Business Development at Fireblocks, said: "Dollar-denominated stablecoins are increasingly how value reaches emerging markets, and many of those corridors originate in the UK and Europe. OpenPayd's expansion lets institutions on- and off-ramp in GBP and EUR as well as USD across the Fireblocks Network, strengthening it as the infrastructure layer for institutional stablecoin liquidity and payments."
